Leaper Pods

Leaper Pods are the storage sacs in which Crawlers develop into Leapers. When a vibration is set off, these pods turn into a mine.

Each pod usually holds three to four Leapers, however, there is usually more than one pod in an area. Depending on how far you are into the story, there may be three pods or there may be fifteen pods.

To take out these pods before the Leapers spawn, fire from a distance with Weapons such as Grenades and the L209 LAARK. Another effective method is to set several mines with the XR-003 Sapper and trigger the Leaper Pods. They will all rush towards Nathan Hale as you trigger the explosion of the mines from a safe distance.
